Oral presentation format

Conference presentations will be projected in Powerpoint (.ppt or .pptx). Whilst Keynote files can be accepted please note that they will be converted into Powerpoint for presentation. Powerpoint files should be formatted in 16:9 ratio.  Please embed any videos within your presentation but also provide separate video files in case of compatibility issues. Please avoid PDF files. 

Oral presentations will be restricted to 10 mins in length with an additional 2-3 mins for questions as time allows. 

Uploading oral presentations

Ideally, Powerpoint files for all presentations should be submitted to the conference organisers using a usb stick during registration at the Strand Hotel on Sunday (14.00-17.00). Otherwise, files should be submitted to the conference organisers at the morning registration session (08.00-08.30) the day before the scheduled presentation time. Please note that there is no speaker-ready room. If you wish to check your presentation prior to delivery, please speak with the AV technician on the day prior to the start time of the relevant session.

Naming your presentation file

Please follow the following format in naming your presentation file, to include the day of presentation, the abbreviated session name, talk number, and speaker name. This will allow us to identify where your presentation should be located in the conference schedule.

Day_session_number_speaker          e.g. Monday_planet_3_Nield
