Work with us

We are home to a diverse mix of staff and students, committed not only to innovative research and the highest standard of teaching, but also to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment. Our goal is to enhance the School of Geography and the Environment (SoGE) as a vibrant hive of intellectual exchange and ideation. In doing this, we wish to become more inclusive and cohesive, actively promoting opportunities for all.

This commitment is recognised by an Athena Swan Silver Award, which promotes gender equality, and we actively support a healthy work-life balance.

Our internationally-renowned reputation is all down to the dedication of our people, and we hope that you will also choose to be a part of this community.

Further opportunities may be available. Please see the University of Oxford's Jobs and Vacancies webpage for more information.

Our Development and Alumni team works proactively with alumni and others to fundraise for masters and doctoral studentships; it has also generated donations for specific research activities, especially linked to our research centres.

Our research centres have developed long term partnerships through engaging with participants in their Executive Education and Summer School programmes.
