In memoriam: Paulo de Souza

The School of Geography and the Environment (SoGE) is very saddened to hear the news that Paulo de Souza passed away on 17 June.
Paulo was a doctoral student at SoGE and Wolfson College. At SoGE, he was based in the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and was supervised by Professor Gordon L Clark. Paulo arrived at Oxford after a long and varied career in business and academia. His DPhil research examined the effect of corruption on the environment, especially in his native Brazil. During his degree, he volunteered his time to social and environmental causes, including the chairing of Wolfson College's "Green Team".
