Dr Amber Murrey receives RGS-IBG's 2026 Taylor and Francis Award

We are delighted to announce that Dr Amber Murrey has been awarded the 2026 Taylor and Francis Award by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). 

The Taylor and Francis Award recognises excellence in the promotion and practice of teaching and learning in higher education.

Dr Murrey said: "I am honoured and thrilled to receive the Society’s 2026 Taylor and Francis Award. This recognition reflects the collective intellectual labour and support of the collaborators and students who have shaped my work -from Yaoundé, to Oxford, to Addis Ababa and beyond."

The RGS-IBG's 2026 medals and awards were presented in a ceremony at the Society in London on Monday 8th June.
