Three geographers awarded title of Professor in 2026 Recognition of Distinction

We are delighted to announce that the title of Professor has been conferred on three SoGE researchers in the University of Oxford's 2026 Recognition of Distinction exercise.
The title of Professor is awarded to those who have made contributions to leadership, teaching and research within the University and within their department. For 2026, the following titles were conferred:
- Professor Debbie Hopkins - Professor of the Human Geographies of Mobility
- Professor Radhika Khosla - Professor of Environmental Science and Policy
- Professor Janey Messina - Professor of Global Health Geography
