SoGE-led Amazonia+10 Brazil-UK Programme to hold week-long event at SoGE and London's Natural History Museum
The Amazonia+10 Brazil-UK Programme, which brings together five collaborative research projects, is organising a week of activities in London and Oxford from 22 to 25 September 2026.
The programme will be launched at the Natural History Museum in London with an evening event featuring presentations from the Brazilian funding on the wider Amazonia+10 initiative, alongside opportunities for networking among the five UKRI-funded research projects.
The meeting will then move to the University of Oxford-School of Geography and the Environment, bringing together principal investigators, co-investigators, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students from across the five projects. Participants will present their research and reflect collectively on the progress of their projects, share experiences and lessons learned, identify opportunities for collaboration, and develop a shared vision for the future of the programme.
By bringing together researchers and funders from Brazil and the UK, the meeting will strengthen connections across the Amazonia+10 research community and foster new opportunities for interdisciplinary and international collaboration to advance knowledge and support a sustainable future for the Amazon.
