Dr Sneha Krishnan has been awarded a British Academy / Wolfson Fellowship, which she will hold from January 2022 to December 2024.

The British Academy has made six such awards this year, to scholars who are within seven years of completing their doctoral degree. Sneha's new research will be titled 'Errant Girls: Intimate Internationalisms in Twentieth Century South Asia'.

The project will use archival research, oral histories, and the making of a documentary film to centre historical geographies of South Asian girls' friendship in an examination of 20th century Internationalisms.

Sneha said, "I am delighted to have been awarded this Fellowship, and am grateful to the mentors and colleagues who supported me in this application. I can't wait to start work on this new project."
