A regional assessment of the environmental resilience of groundwater within water supply systems

Academic Profile

Rachel Pugh is a DPhil student supervised by Professor Jim Hall and Dr Anna Murgatroyd (Newcastle University), and funded by the EPSRC and Thames Water. Her doctoral research integrates hydrological and water system modelling to explore how groundwater contributes to the resilience and robustness of water resources under climate change, framing her work within the context of England’s public water supply system. Rachel holds a BSc in Geophysics from Imperial College London, and an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham. She also has previous experience working as a hydrogeologist within engineering and environmental consultancy.
