Exploring Animal and Human Vibrational Worlds
Academic Profile
Lauren is interested in the relationship between technology, senses, and the more-than-human, particularly in the contexts of scientific study and wildlife conservation. She currently works with biologists to explore how scientific study is revealing the vibrational worlds of African elephants and spiders and how these worlds are shaped by human-generated vibrations.
In previous research, Lauren has worked with Iberian lynx conservationists and Canadian zookeepers during the pandemic. She holds a MPhil in Anthropocene Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Guelph.
