African atmospheric processes and their scale interactions in observations and model simulations
Academic Profile
Kitty is a DPhil student working in the Climate Lab, interested in climate variability and change over Africa. Her current research focuses on understanding the atmospheric response to intense radiative heating over Southern Africa, with implications for regional trends in temperature and rainfall. Kitty holds a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford and is now a student on the NERC Environmental Sciences DTP. She has been involved in multiple field campaigns, including DRYCAB in Zambia, KAPEX in South Africa and MASIKA in Kenya.
