Sensing the Neurodiver(City): A comparative study of urban rhythms and walkability in neurodiverse and neurotypical experiences

Academic Profile

Eleanor is a first year DPhil student at the Transport Studes Unit, supervised by Professor Tim Schwanen and Dr Jennie Middleton. She holds an MPhil in Anthropocene Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Manchester. Her DPhil investigates the embodied and sensory dimensions of urban life, focusing on how neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals experience walking and mobility in the city. Interdisciplinary in scope, the project engages with health, urban, and transport geographies to contribute to debates on social justice, walkability, and sustainable urban futures.
