Academic Profile
Charlie is a DPhil student working in the Climate Lab, interested in climate variability and change over southern Africa. His research focuses on the dynamics of the Southern African summer monsoon onset and a particular feature called the Congo Air Boundary. Charlie holds a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford and is now a doctoral student in Geography and the Environment. He has been involved in multiple field campaigns, including DRYCAB (Zambia, 2022), WesCON (Salisbury, 2023), KAPEX (South Africa, 2023), and MASIKA (Kenya, 2024).
Alongside his research, Charlie manages the Radcliffe Meteorological Station and has held a teaching position at Jesus College (Stipendiary Lecturer) since 2023.
