Email: mohammed.adnan@oriel.ox.ac.uk
Adnan has completed his Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degree in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Commonwealth Scholar. His interests include interdisciplinary research into the field of disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, natural hazard, vulnerability and risk assessment, geographic information systems, and remote sensing. His doctoral research addressed the complex flooding processes and flood adaptation options (structural and nature-based solutions) in the coastal region of Bangladesh. He obtained a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2009 and an MSc degree in International Cooperation and Urban Development from Technische Universität Darmstadt (TUD) of Germany in 2014 as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. He has been granted several scholarships during his academic career. He currently holds the position of an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) of Bangladesh. Adnan aims to continue his career in research and academia, where he has already spent more than 10 years.
