If you have any queries, or for more information on how to join our alumni network, please get in touch with Christine Baro.
In 2012 we transferred to a new alumni database. Known as the Development and Alumni Relations System (DARS), the database holds details of alumni, current students, staff and friends which were previously held in separate alumni and development databases of the University and the participating colleges. The result is a single, comprehensive database allowing, on a regulated basis, colleges, faculties, departments, administrative units, international offices, recognised alumni societies, and sports and other clubs associated with the University access to all the data held in it.
This new system has already proved to be a big step forward in keeping the details of our alumni, students, staff and friends more up to date and we hope that it will help improve our communications with you.
DARS also has an online networking function which allows you to update your contact and business details online via the University Alumni Site.
A short guide to Oxford Alumni Online
- Login or register on the University's Alumni website
- If you register for an account, you need your alumni number. You can find this on your alumni card, on most communications you receive from the University Alumni Office, or you can request it by filling in this online form.
- Once you are safely logged in, you can check and update your contact and business details.
- Your updated details have to be approved by a member of your College's Alumni Office Team and will then get transferred onto your DARS record.
Please let us know if you encounter any problems.
We very much hope that you will find this useful and we shall continue to work with colleagues across the University to improve DARS and so enhance online networking opportunities for our alumni.
Your data will continue to be held securely. For full details on the way in which your data will be held and used, please see the Alumni / DARS data protection statement on the University's alumni website. If at any time you have any queries about the use of your personal data in DARS, or wish to change how we use your personal data, please get in touch with us.
