January Rankings

Professor Richard Washington, Director of the Radcliffe Meteorological Station, Dr Ian Ashpole, Radcliffe Met Observer, and Ian Curtis, Development Officer at the School of Geography and the Environment, met with Paddy O'Connell from BBC Radio 4 this afternoon (14 Feb 2014) to talk through the Radcliffe Met Records relating to the record setting January 2014 total. The highest January rankings from 1760 are shown below with rainfall in mm. January 2014 beats the previous record of 1852 convincingly by more than 8mm.
