Oxford Environmental Innovation Forum 2007
3.30-7pm, Friday 9th November 2007, OUCE
Please Note: This webpage covers the Forum held in 2007. For information on our current forum please see our Oxford Environmental Innovation Forum listing.
The aim of this event is to strengthen links between the international graduate student body of the Oxford University Centre for the Environment (OUCE) and Oxford-based organisations at the cutting edge of environmental policy and practice. The event will profile the innovative work going on in Oxford and at the same time provide Oxford-based organisations with an opportunity to engage outstanding young minds in their area of expertise. In addition, we hope it will provide a forum for students to discuss the possibility of conducting their dissertation research in association with Oxford-based groups.
The event will comprise of two parts:
- Speed presentations by each of the 12 participating organisations followed by a chance to meet directly with each organisation.
- A new vision lecture where a leading UK environmentalists will talk about future trends, directions and/or issues in environmental policy. This year the lecture will be given by Graham Wynne Chief Executive of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The title of his talk is "Climate change policy: the invisible consequences".
