We are delighted to announce that the School of Geography and the Environment's application for a Bronze Athena SWAN Award has been successful.

Professor Heather Viles, Head of School, said, "This is a fantastic achievement for the School, and means we are one of the first departments in the Social Sciences Division at the University of Oxford to have achieved this accolade. This award recognises our ongoing commitment to enhancing diversity and promoting equality of opportunity amongst all our students and staff."

As part of our application for the Bronze Award the School set out a detailed Action Plan for the next 4 years, to help address our main equality and diversity challenges.
