Participants on the recent Governance, Policy and Local Delivery course (24-27 June 2014)
The Transport Studies Unit's Oxford Leadership Programme: "Global Challenges in Transport" was launched in March 2013. Over the past 18 months the TSU have welcomed over 95 participants from 21 different countries and heard from over 50 speakers whilst being hosted by three delightful Oxford Colleges.
The 4 courses within the Leadership Programme are tailored to cover a vast range of transport related issues and future challenges which include; Health, Wellbeing and Urban Mobility (December), New Technologies and Changing Behaviours (March), Governance, Policy and Delivery (June), and Infrastructure, Development and Finance (September). The programme is suitable for all transport professionals at any stage of their career. Each course covers a variety of different topics and combines a wide range of speakers from different backgrounds and sectors with site visits and interactive / debating sessions.
In any one course, you can engage with participants from an array of different backgrounds including NGOs, the private sector, policymakers, practitioners, and academia. In addition, there are multiple opportunities to receive in-depth, behind-the-scenes views of global institutions and organisations such as the European Commission, Transport for London, the Department for Transport, the Asian Development Bank, Sustrans, and many others.
Join us in Oxford for one (or all four!) of our four-day courses, each set in the beautiful grounds of an Oxford College. Please see below for details on each course plus web links. We work in collaboration with the Said Business School but please do contact Lucy Mahoney at TSU (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly for further information, academic discounts and to register.
