University Fees Panel ruling on fee liability for School of Geography and the Environment D.Phil./MSc entrants 2008/09

Fees Panel have advised that appeals must be received by 31 December 2008.

There has been some confusion over the fee for School of Geography and the Environment courses for new Home/EU entrants for 2008/09. The correct fee for these courses, as advertised on the University's website, is £6,500 p.a. Students who have evidence that they were told that the fee for any of the graduate courses in the School of Geography and the Environment was lower than this may appeal to the Fees Panel through their college.

Students will be expected to provide information and evidence of the following:

  1. date of application;
  2. date and content of department and college offer letters; and
  3. any other relevant information or correspondence.

The Fees Panel will consider the information and evidence provided before making decisions on individual cases.

The courses concerned are:

  • D.Phil. Geography and the Environment
  • M.Phil. Geography and the Environment
  • MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management
  • MSc in Environmental Change and Management
  • MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy
  • MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management
